1996 - 97
This year was again a busy one. We had two tours in the spring, the Mixed and Women's Choirs traveled to San Luis Obispo for the ACDA Contest at Cal Poly and to LA for a contest and then a day at Universal Studios. Concert Choir and Chamber traveled to San Diego for a Heritage Festival at Sea World. We did a dinner theater and auction, and participated in CMEA and CUSD festivals locally as well as Fresno Pacific, Fresno City and Fresno State festivals in the fall. We again had over 300 students in choir and had four handbell choirs. We had five students participatate in FMCMEA Honor Choir, Josh LaMar made California All-State and Brandon Roberts and Melissa Omphroy made the ACDA National Junior High Honor Choir. This was also the year of THE BENCH, and that's all I'm going to say about that!
